Ever heard of Darwin's theory of evolution? It's survival of the fittest. To survive you've got to be cunning, to put it simply.

From what Poolman describes, there is nothing wrong with what he did what. Its true there are cheapskate customers like these. Of cos, if the antics are unethical like purposely take longer routes and pretend not to give back change etc...then of cos that is wrong. In this case, Poolman was just describing how he got back at an 'unethical' customer.

Lets just remember, taxi drivers dun make millions or get rich by driving a taxi. They are just ordinary folks who are not rich like some buggers out there and since most people who take taxis aint rich also, why not show more understanding instead of just complaining at the slightest provocation.
